The Bill Shaw Fund

Our Uncle Bill is an amazing husband, father, grandpa and teacher. Five years ago he was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a form of blood/bone marrow cancer for which there is no cure.

He went to Mayo Clinic and underwent chemotherapy and a stem cell transplant which unfortunately didn't work. He has been doing alternative therapy since then, seeing an oncologist and nutritionist.

He has been at Marquette Senior High School for the last 25 years teaching a woods/construction class. Just ask any one of his students, their parents, or his peers......he is not just a teacher, but a mentor and a friend. Always going above and beyond he puts a lot of energy into his students and his job. But unfortunately by being in a school environment he gets sick quite often and is unable to fight off even a common cold.

When he does become ill his body gets very weak, making it difficult for him to work. A few weeks ago we received news that his cancer was progressing and we were heartbroken. This has put a physical strain on him, and a financial strain on him and his family.


Uncle Bill is a devout Christian man with a very strong faith, which he joyfully shares. He is first in line to volunteer his time to help someone in need, putting others first. Over the past year family and friends have asked.... how can we help Pat and Bill? Our prayer is that you can bless them with your prayers, love, support and donations through this website, enabling him to retire to take care of himself and his family.
