Bill Marin's Medical Fund

$15,330 of $100,000 goal

Raised by 99 people in 9 months
On  Thursday, August 31, 2017, Bill Marin and his wife Maria were involved in a horrific car accident in San Gabriel, California.    Bill was rushed to the hospital with a traumatic  head injury. He was immediately taken to surgery to repair a broken blood vessel that caused a large blood clot in his brain. Part of his skull was removed to relieve pressure from his brain.  Miraculously he survived. Since the surgery, Bill has been  in  the  Critical Care Unit.  He has had many complications during his stay in CCU. Bill is a fighting for his life and we believe that with  the power of prayer, God  will save him. It will take a miracle for Bill  to recover from this critical situation.   His wife, Maria sustained minor injuries and is being treated by medical staff.

In addition to your prayers, the family  respectfully requests monetary donations to help defray  the forth coming financial burdens related to this tragic accident.

On behalf of Bill & Maria, the entire Marin family would like to thank you for your kind thoughts, prayers and generosity.

We will keep you posted on Bill's progress.

Family and friends... On Tuesday of this week the medical staff at the hospital had given the family and I the unfortunate news that there was nothing more they can do for my dad to improve his condition. Because my father would never live his life with normal neurological functions, the family and I made the difficult decision to remove him from respiratory assistance. Surrounded by his immediate family and wife, Bill passed away earlier this morning at 1am. We truly appreciate all the love and support that was given to our family through this difficult time. My dad is in a better place now and is pain free. I will send out one final update with funeral information. RIP Pop.

Hey Everyone... I want to share an update on my father. Before I do, I want to thank everyone who has sent their prayers and donations in for my father. The reponse has been tremendous.

Bill has made small improvements over the last couple of days. As most of you know he had been in an induced coma since his brain surgery and late last week he was taken off his sedatives. What the doctors are looking out for are any signs of neurological responses, like if he is moving his hands or feet when asked to do so. He had opened his eyes a little over the weekend and yesterday his eyes were following movement that was in front of him. These are positive signs that we had yet to see thus far. We are far from knowing what his long term prognosis will be, but this is a foot in the right direction.

Keep praying for Bill, I know he feels all the good energy coming his way. Thank you again for his support.

Jay Marin
