Biking South America filming Climate Change

Dear friends,
My name is Alfonso Tascón, and I´m a 26-year-old Spaniard. I am raising funds to promote my project, which is called "Of People And Earth".
My initiative consists on filming a movie sharing the stories of people who are already being affected by climate change, and who are developing innovative ways to adapt to the new challenges posed by a changing climate. My plan is to bike across Latin America for about 15 months, in which I expect to cover more than 14,000km (~8,885mi) and cycle through 8 countries. Regarding the alarming situation of the climate worldwide, I believe it is crucial to take action and raise awareness of what can be done to deal with this issue. Due to my background in biological science and climate change, I consider that I can help other people to understand better the complexity of the problem, while making visible the stories of the most vulnerable.
The funds will be used to support myself during the duration of the journey. This includes food and water (~150€/month), accommodation (~200€/month) (whenever I am not camping), and gear, including an equipped bike with saddlebags (~500€), a tent (~100€), and a sleeping bag (~50€). I also hope to be able to get a travel insurance that may cover any potential accident (~185€).
I am starting my journey on the 15th of August, so until then I would be extremely grateful to keep receiving any contribution :)
Being able to carry out this project is really meaningful to me, as I have been planning it for almost two years, and I am super excited to see it coming true. I am really looking forward to use my passion and expertise to help society and put my grain of sand to make this world a better place for everyone.
Also, I would like to mention that if the campaing raises additional funds, the extra money will be directly donated to the NGO "One Tree Planted", which is doing amazing work reforesting many areas of the planet.
At the same time, I would love to share the movie and a compilation of the best 100 photos of the journey with those who decide to help me.

Mi nombre es Alfonso Tascón, y soy un chico español de 26 años. Estoy recaudando fondos para promocionar mi proyecto, que se llama "Of People And Earth".
Mi iniciativa consiste en filmar una película para compartir las historias de aquella gente que hoy en día ya se está viendo afectada por el impacto del cambio climático, y de quienes están desarrollando innovadoras estrategias para adaptarse a los nuevos retos que un clima cambiante trae consigo. Mi plan es viajar en bicicleta por Latinoamérica durante unos 15 meses, en los que espero recorrer más de 14,000km (~8,885mi) y atravesar 8 países. Debido a la alarmante situación del clima alrededor del mundo, creo que es crucial tomar partido y crear conciencia sobre qué podemos hacer para hacer frente a este problema. Debido a mis estudios en ciencias biológicas y en cambio climático, considero que puedo ayudar a otra gente a comprender mejor la complejidad del problema, a la vez que hacer visibles las historias de aquellos más vulnerables.
Los fondos serán empleados para mantenerme durante el viaje. Esto implica comida y agua (~150€/mes), hospedaje (~200€/mes) (siempre y cuando no acampe), y equipamiento, incluyendo una bicicleta equipada con alforjas (~500€), una tienda de campaña (~100€) y un saco de dormir (~50€). También espero poder adquirir un seguro de viaje que pueda cubrir potenciales accidentes (~185€).
Tengo previsto comenzar mi viaje el 15 de agosto, así que hasta entonces estaré extremadamente agradecido de seguir recibiendo cualquier contribución :)
Para mi tiene mucho significado llevar a cabo este proyecto, ya que llevo planeándolo durante casi dos años, y la verdad es que estoy muy emocionado de pensar en que por fin pueda hacerse realidad. Tengo muchísimas ganas de emplear mi pasión y mi conocimiento para ayudar a la sociedad y para poner mi granito de arena para hacer de este mundo un lugar mejor.
También, me gustaría mencionar que en caso de que la campaña consiga fondos adicionales, el dinero extra será directamente donado a la ONG "One Tree Planted", que lleva a cabo una labor de reforestación excepcional en muchas partes del planeta.
Al mismo tiempo, me encantaría compartir la película y un recopilatorio de las mejores 100 fotos del viaje con aquellos que decidan ayudarme.
