Funding for school music programs is a constant need in the public-school system and Bentonville High School is no different. Though Bentonville Bands are well supported you might be surprised to know that only 20% of our yearly budget is funded by the school district. The other 80% is raised through student fees and patron support like YOU.
Recently, the Bentonville Wind Ensemble was selected (through audition) the prestigious honor of being named a Featured Ensemble at the National Concert Band Festival on the campus of Butler University March 13th – 16th. The total amount for this trip is $50,000 for student travel and accommodations. With only 52 members the participation fee is a heavy burden for students, especially those of our lower income families.
