Better life for Luis David

Helping Luis David get a better life.
Luis David was born with West syndrome, this is a severe epilepsy syndrome composed of the triad of infantile spasms, an interictal electroencephalogram (EEG) pattern termed hypsarrhythmia, and mental retardation
It has been many years since Luis David's parents with all the love and care have struggle to fight and at times beg for money to keep their son alive and be able to pay for all the medication, treatment, therapy, care and everything needed for him.
They live in a very small place with basically no room, he needs a wheelchair to help his mom move him around more often, she struggles because as he is growing and getting heavier  she cannot handle the weight and is starting to have back problems, doctors have recommend her not to do this because in the future she'll have several issues, however she is the only one that can take care of him while his dad works in a basic salary job that doesn't pay much.
In addition, Luis David needs to have regular therapy so he can have a little more control of his body's movement, this along with the right medications are recommended for a better quality of life (with no seizures)Anything that can be collected will be used to get him a new wheelchair, medication, treatment and therapy,  also to pay for a new place where he and his family can live more comfortable, at the moment they are renting and living on the second floor in a house where there's no wheelchair access and Luis' mom has to carry him down the stairs if he needs to go anywhere.
This is a family that love each other and do anything in their power to stay positive and happy even thou they have to deal with Luis' condition.
Celia and her husband feel very lucky and greatful to have Luis David who has thought them many things in this journey, they hope that one day their son will have a better quatily life and be happy togheter.  


Ayudando a Luis David a tener una mejor vida.
Luis David nació con síndrome de West, este se trata de un síndrome de epilepsia grave compuesto por la tríada de espasmos infantiles, un patrón de electroencefalograma interictal (EEG) denominado hipsarritmia y retraso mental.
Han pasado muchos años desde que los padres de Luis David con todo el amor y cuidado han luchado y en ocasiones hasta suplicado por dinero para mantener vivo a su hijo y poder pagar toda la medicación, tratamiento, terapia, cuidado y todo lo que se necesita para él. 
Ellos viven en un lugar muy pequeño, básicamente sin espacio, él necesita una silla de ruedas para ayudar a su madre a moverse más a menudo, ella tiene problemas porque mientras él crece y se vuelve más pesado ya no puede soportar el peso y está empezando a tener problemas de espalda, los médicos han recomendado que no haga esto porque en el futuro tendrá varios problemas, sin embargo, ella es la única que puede cuidarlo mientras su padre trabaja en un salario básico que no paga mucho.
Además, Luis David necesita una terapia regular para poder controlar un poco mas el movimiento de su cuerpo, esto junto con los medicamentos correctos se recomiendan para una mejor calidad de vida (sin convulsiones).
Cualquier cosa que se pueda recolectar se usará para conseguirle una silla de ruedas, medicamentos, tratamiento y terapia,  también para pagar un nuevo lugar donde él y su familia puedan vivir más cómodos, en este momento están alquilando y viviendo en el segundo piso de una casa, no hay acceso para sillas de ruedas y la madre de Luis tiene que llevarlo por las escaleras si necesita ir a algún lugar.

Esta es una familia que se ama y hacen todo lo que está en sus manos para mantenerse positivo, incluso cuando tienen que lidiar con la condición de Luis.

Celia y su esposo se sienten muy afortunados de tener a Luis David, quien les ha enseñado muchas cosas en este viaje, ellos esperan que algún día su hijo tenga una vida mejor y sean felices juntos.
