Bethany Wing is a friend to so many people

She is a sister
A daughter
A loved one
most importantly, above all else, a Mother to two girls who love her and need her.32699004_1538444571973370_r.jpeg

She is also someone that very much needs your help.

Bethany has been disabled by Lyme Disease, but after 6 years of failed treatments, there is new hope.
There are people with the same disabilities from Lyme Disease who are being treated successfully!

The last treatment available to Bethany is not covered by insurance and is not available in the United States.

Every other treatment has been tried and failed.

Anyone who knows Bethany, knows two things:
She will give until she has nothing left to give.
And that letting Lyme (and its co-infections) kill her is not the option she will choose.

We all have the chance right now to help someone who has so much left to give.  Bethany just needs our help.

When you see her you may think she looks great...
That is how she fights back.
That is how she protects her daughters and her friends from having to worry about how sick she is.

Bethany doesn't want you to feel bad for her.
She doesn't want you to worry about her.
She does not want to ask for help.

But we do worry...

and now We Have The Chance To Help Bethany Get The Last Treatment Available To Her

The treatment center is The Klinik St. George Hospital in Bad-Aibling, Germany.
St. George hospital has been treating people with the same conditions as Bethany with success

People who have gone to their facility in wheelchairs are now able to walk and live normal lives.

This Is What We Want For Bethany
This treatment provides hope for Bethany to live a life without constant pain and without disability.

But she needs our help to fund it

If you're not familiar with Lyme Disease, in the 1970s and 80's in New England there was an epidemic of children who were diagnosed with "juvenile arthritis".
Through more research it was discovered that most of these children had the same bacterial infection.

Back then infections spread faster than information.
Many children were not ever properly diagnosed.
The bacteria were left alone to spread throughout the body and colonize.
Once it was able to bore into the bone marrow, the organs and brains of those infected, traditional treatments were no longer able to help.

That is what happened to Bethany.

6 years ago Bethany began to show severe neurological and cardiac effects caused by the infection.  She has been hospitalized numerous times since then and the effects have only gotten worse.
All treatments have failed.
She has become more disabled with each failed treatment, she is in constant pain and can not work.

Thankfully The Klinik St. George Hospital offers hope to recovery.

                                                                                                              Please Give What You Can
                                                                                                                      Any Amount Helps

The total amount needed is $40k.
There is a foundation in Boston that has pledged $10k to her St. George fund but that is only a quarter of what she needs.

If you prefer to donate directly, an account has been set up for that.

The direct contributions to the Trust Fund Acct raised $2,400!

The date has been set and she is moving forward with treatment.

My heart is filled with the love and support you all have shown for Bethany.

She has been challenged by the medical system throughout this illness and Bethany has been failed too many times while trying to beat this disease...

Not this time.

Thank you to all who helped and fought to get her here.

Special thank you to the lyme foundation that is fighting so hard to help. We could not have gotten Bethany there without you.

My job is to be the strong face for this cause... I won't lie.. I am crying and I'm nervous. But we did it.

Her daughters are going to get their mom back after almost 6 years.

Lets bring her home.

The outpouring of love and support for Bethany has been so strong that we are at 70% of our goal.

To everyone who has helped us along the way, thank you from my heart, thank you.

When it became clear we needed help getting Bethany to Germany, you all stepped up and are making it happen.

We have raised enough to schedule the treatment.
We arrive at the hospital in Germany on Thanksgiving Day.

It will be strange and hard to be away from our family on Thanksgiving but there is so much to be thankful for.

Thank you to all of you.

Please keep sharing.

I know we can raise the remaining 30% before Bethany has to start treatment.

We are taking a leap of faith scheduling before we have it all, but it's critically important to get her there asap. The longer she goes without treatment, the more impaired she becomes.

I know we got this.

Thank you everyone who has shared, sent kind words of encouragement and to all who have donated.

Day 10 and we just reached 50% of our goal. ♥️

We raised enough in 10 days to know Bethany's going to go to Germany.

Now let's raise the rest so we can get her home in time to be with her daughters for Christmas.

Treatment is 3 weeks long. Some of it is spent in ICU.
The sooner we get her there the better.

Thank you so much to everyone who has shared.. To everyone who has donated...and to everyone who has given love and support
