At 9:30 pm Monday evening July 31, Lauren and Jacob Bergstrom held their 3 beautiful daughters in their arms as the danced their way into Christs' arms.

Below is a post from Jacob.
"Triplet update:
All three baby girls went to dance with Christ at 9:30 last night. The day was beautiful. We woke up and had breakfast as a family. Lauren was having a great time just playing with the girls. She was talking to them, giggling, and just having a great time. I snuggled my family and took the time to do a great bath for lauren. We had lunch, but something just seemed off a little. Lauren's stomach was changing shape and she started having more Braxton hicks than normal. At around 6pm lauren started having worsening pain and we alerted the staff. There was no bleeding and we were praying for the contractions to stop. I put her on the bed pan and lauren peed, but when I wiped there was blood. We knew we were for sure going to give birth to Evalynn, but we were hoping to suture up the cord and see if we could get the other two to cook longer.

I pushed my wife over to labor and delivery for the second time, her contractions were so frequent that she could barely take 5 breaths before the next one would come.
My mother was with us and Kiersten was with us although we limited what we told her.
We have had the most amazing support from our life group at church. They have been coming every evening with meals and fellowship, and at a moments notice Megan Voigt Belviso was there with us. She was there the whole time and was such great support for us as we went through probably the saddest moment of our entire lives. Kyle Young from Rock City was praying for us and he and his wife have been the most amazing pastors for us.

Lauren got an epidural and the pain was starting to be moderately controlled. We were all supporting her when she stated that her vagina felt funny. I peeked under the blanket and saw a lot of blood. After pulling out my phone light I could see Evalynn's leg, but her body was blocked by Emerie's sack. I told her Evalynn was out and we scuttled Kiersten out of the room. The doctors and nurses were right there trying desperately to tie off their cords so we could try to keep Ella in, but she decided to slide on out as well. Ella's sack was the one that broke a week ago as she came out very dry. Lauren's epidural worked, she had no pain, and it was peaceful when the cane out.

All three babies were placed on lauren and I, and we rotated holding my girls. They were all breathing and moving and we sang to them and loved on them for the few short minutes we had. Once the girls were cleaned up and placed in beautiful blankets we talked to Kiersten and she wanted to sing to them and swaddle them. Our hearts ached as we watched Kiersten sing to each of her sisters and as she held these girls with a beautiful smile.

We all were so broken in that moment as our dreams for our girls drastically were taken away, but at the same time we have a faith in our God that is so strong. He knit these beautiful girls in Lauren's womb, each having ten fingers and ten toes complete with fingernails. He created them and blessed our family with three babies that couldn't be more perfect. We are completely crushed by this terrible life event, BUT we have a hope that these girls are dancing in the arms of Jesus. They are completely free of pain, free of feeling hungry or being crushed by their high school crush. They will never have to worry about money or fitting in. They won't have to mourn the loss of their parents or put down a dog. Each of these baby girls are in the arms of Christ and they are taken care of.

The days will be rough and times will suck, but Jesus gave Lauren and I each other to fight as one. We will lift each other and we will hold each other, and when we are too weak we have a church body and a family that will be there for us. Thank you all so much for your showers of prayers, it helped keep us calm and have peace.

We will see our babies again one day.

"I prayed for this child, and the LORD has granted me what I asked of him. 28 So now I give him to the LORD. For his whole life he will be given over to the LORD.” And he worshiped the LORD there. 1 Samuel 1:27-28"

We know no words will do justice to these sweet angels' lives. The days will be hard over the coming weeks. Instead of the Bergstorms worrying about paying bills & rushing back to work to make ends meet, let's shower them with financial gifts to meet their needs as they see fit. Whether they want to find momentos and memorials to honor the triplets or take leave as they need to heal their souls, let's support them.
