Berea Coffee and Tea Friends and Family: we need your help. Unfortunately, but for your kind, loving support, we may have to close our doors and we want to do all we can to avoid such fate because Berea Coffee and Tea is so much more than just a cafe! It's where people find work, love, conversation, new ideas, great taste and always reliably good food, coffee, and drinks.
Over the past 29 years, Berea Coffee and Tea has been touched by and touched so many lives, both locally and abroad. With your support and love:
We have hosted surprise weddings.
We have hosted several wakes for endeared customers and family,
We have been the spot for first dates.
We have been the place where lifelong friends were made, where birthdays, anniversaries, fundraisers, town halls, poetry readings, campaigns, found love and support.
We have customers from all over the country and abroad who have utilized us for respite in their travels.
We have shared love and smiles from so many great people and still continue to do so.
We will continue doing so into the future with all of your continued blessings and well wishes. It will still continue to be a source of local employment and remain a true place of community engagement.
Sadly, we now find ourselves in need of support from those that we love. The need is now: you are our hope and support. You are our family.
The funds will, first and foremost, keep us in business: any funds we raise will be used for many overdue accounts including rent, food vendors, utilities and credit accounts. These needs range in urgency, but all must be addressed.
We have decided as a team to cast our pride aside and share our needs with all of you, our Berea Coffee and Tea family. We love this place, have loved this place and with help, can love it for another 29 years. This is more than a shop; it is a community, a way of approaching life and landmark of a beautiful little town. A place where we all have fostered meaningful, life changing and affirming relationships.
Please help us overcome this challenging time! We look to you for financial support but also would like to hear your favorite memory as reminder of our past and continual work to be an awesome little hole in the wall. Even if you cant make a financial contribution (anything will help even a dollar), please share a favorite memory and repost this to your contacts and encourage them to do the same.
