Benson Needs a New Foot

Hello Friends, my name is Joe D'Errico and I have been a life long friend of Eric Benson.  I created this Go Fund Me page in hopes of raising enough money so that my old friend Eric Benson can buy a new prosthetic foot.  Eric lost his foot in a hiking accident in the early 1980's somewhere out in the hills near Saddleback Mountain. I will never forget, when Eric was interviewed by the OC Register right after the accident, he described  "...a boulder, as big as a television set" rolling down the hillside and crushing his foot and ankle.  Eric was fitted with some kind of prosthetic foot after the amputation. That foot has been through hell and back with Eric over the past 30+ years and he has McGyver'd the thing back together so many times (I don't think that this is the original) that the foot is now in a state of disrepair (It looks like something out of Mad Max!), and is affecting his ability to work.  Eric, is a well known animal lover and he spends much of his time in North Carolina advocating for, and rescuing dogs in his community and he is known for giving his last dollar caring for these animals, to Eric, his animal family is more important than that darned foot!  I know that Eric, a native of Anaheim, California and Loara High School Alumnus (Class of 1982) has friends all over the country and  I am hoping that we, Eric's friends, can come together to help out a friend in need, a friend that would give you the shirt off of his back if you were in need.  Lets help out one of the good guys!
