Josh Fighting Stage 4, Fourth Time

Hey guys, I see people have found that using GoFundMe for medical expenses that can help pay for prescriptions and doctors visits—as well as procedures not typically covered by insurance. We are not ones to ever ask for help, especially financially. This is for my husband, a son, a brother, a friend to many is battling cancer for his third time. No one fights alone, and his support system is doing our/their best to help fight with Josh to win the battle.
Our Background in a nutshell:
I met Josh when we were 17 in high school. We began dating at the age of 18. We started as friends, then best friends and the rest is history. We haven't been apart since. We got married on 12/08/2017. We have/pay for our own home, vehicles, bills, and four dogs we love dearly.
He is the most caring, hardest working, strongest and determined person I've ever known. He's an amazing husband, friend, son, brother, and all round genuinely a great person, who has overcome so many obstacles in his life. He is someone who puts everyone before himself, to make sure they are okay and happy. He truly sees the good in anyone he meets and every obstacle he's battled.
Josh's Cancer Journey:
Josh battled Hodgkin's lymphoma stage 4 at the age of 19, in the year of 2011. He received chemotherapy treatment and radiation.
He then went into remission for a little over a year, when it came back at age 21.
He was then diagnosed with the same diagnosis at stage four, also. At that time He received treatment of chemotherapy and received a stem cell transplant.He had to live in the hospital for this as well (30 days).
After treatment, he went into remission for 5 to almost 6 years.
Throughout his journeys of having cancer, now for his third time- We are so grateful for everyone who reached, donated, visited, anything for/to Josh or I during his fights! It lifted his spirits, it made him smile, fight harder, and he felt so blessed to be loved by so many....... we know how much time he spent always checking in with others and sending others his love.
Current Report:
He is now 27 and was recently (in July) diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma stage 4. The plan we were told so far is to have chemotherapy up until we find a donor for the stem cell transplant. He will have to live in the hospital for 30 days or more. Depending on however his body responds to treatment and how he feels after the transplant. He will also need a 24/7 caregiver for 100 days at least. The date of the transplant is unsure due to searching for a donor and his reaction to chemotherapy currently. His mother, father, and half brother are currently being tested for becoming a donor. We were told by his transplant doctor it would be best if his donor could be one of the three family members. If they are not qualified to be a donor for josh, there is a team of doctors on his case who work with a technology database to find the best matched donor. This is very crucial to find the best match, as this could cause the transplant to cause complications, different infections or it could even become lethal.
The plan for his treatment is based on how his body reacts to each treatment as we go further. He will have scans next week to see what and how the chemotherapy is working.
Fighting an illness requires mental, emotional, and physical strength. Unfortunately, it also requires money— a lot of it. If you don’t have insurance, you’ll have to pay out of pocket medical expenses. A TransUnion report found that in 2017 there was an increase of 11% in out of pocket costs, forcing more of the payment responsibility onto patients.
We have planned a benefit to raise money for medical expenses at Bink's Bar and Grill, in Springfield TN. We are aiming For November 16th (1-6pm). This is to also help pay for the hospital visits, chemo treatments, medications, transplant, the cost of living in the hospital for the transplant, etc. Josh was told he could possibly begin the transplant, 6 weeks from now. Therefore, he may not be there, but this is a day by day process.
Josh is currently having chemotherapy treatments every three weeks, up until his transplant. After his transplant, he will have to undergo chemotherapy for at least one year.

*This GoFundme was made for people who can not attend the benefit, also this is the best and most convenient way to raise/ receive help from others who can. We do not have a set "Goal Amount" due to unknown length of his treatment. We based this goal, off his last cancer diagnosis.*
In all honesty, We are not ones to ask for help (we hate it), but with the amount of bills and he will no longer be able to work soon. Sadly, we do need help to stay afloat as he fights this battle. This is something we have faith he will over come. But no matter what - No one fights alone!
