Benefit for Dan Kelly

Donation protected
Dan Kelly is a 20+ year veteran of the Chicago Fire Department. More than 15 years of his career were spent at the busiest ambulance on the southside, Ambulance14. In January of 2017, Dan sustained a traumatic brain injury during his shift that left him with chronic hypontensive episodes contributing to syncope, severe headaches, and periods of memory loss. With several days spent in the Traumatic Neuro Intensive Care Unit at Christ Hospital coupled with a year and a half of constant specialty appointments searching for definitive diagnoses and treatment, Dan has accrued a substantial amount of bills. Because this injury and subsequent illness have been deemed a non-duty injury, Dan and his family are alone to bear a tremendous financial burden that is still ongoing. Perhaps the greatest burden felt by Dan is that it has become apparent at this time that he will not return to duty or work as a Paramedic again...

A benefit is being held for Dan Kelly at Bourbon Street (Merrionette Park) on August 11, 2018 from 5pm to 9pm. Please come out to support Dan and his family and have a great night-out with him. Friends, family, strangers welcome! For those who can only be with us in spirit the night of the benefit (or who otherwise wish to contribute) please leave any donation here ♡
