Belize Needs Her Eye Removed

Tax deductible
Found wandering the streets alone, a Good Samaritan felt compelled to help her. We sure are glad he did.

Belize purrs the minute you pick her up. She loves laps. She loves play with other cats and kittens. And her vision is only the slightest of impediment to her. Belize is the most friendly and easy going kitten foster mom has seen in a long time. She LOVES being held. She LOVES being petted. She LOVES people. And she is super confident: what kitten falls asleep at the vet exam? Yep. Belize did! She charmed everyone in the office.

Belize was seen by eye specialists. They determined Belize's issues are most likely congenital. She was born with one deformed eye and has impaired vision in the other. The deformed right eye is very small and the eye socket gets repeatedly infected. The best thing to do before it becomes an emergency is to have the eye removed, a surgery called enucleation. The left eye, though there is very limited vision and more than normal discharge so it requires frequent cleaning, does not need treatment at this point in time.

The estimate for the enucleation is $1,312.00.

Belize is a wonderful kitten. She deserves a life with a forever family. Won't you contribute to giving Belize that life?
