ElKino “Bubba” Watson was not only a legend but a grandson, son, brother, nephew, cousin, friend, but most importantly a father and hero. As many may know, ElKino passed after being stabbed outside a night club in Tampa, Florida on September 6th, 2015. The goal of ths event is to create a positive, impactful, and achieving environment for the youth within the Miami community. It will implement the importance of education within the football structure and also reflecting and building a legacy in honor of Elkino as the primary goal. Also, create awareness to prevent violence. With the collaboration of scholars, collegiate/professional athletes, and high powered role models within the community; BelieveInMe53 Foundation plans to guide the youth by creating a brotherhood amongst one another and help these young men discover their life purpose while strengthening their brain and body. This program will not only enhance discipline on the field but starting in the classroom as well.
The purpose of this organization is to honor the life of Elkino Watson and to continue his legacy of greatness. Elkino was a phenomenal father, family meant everything to him. This foundation will expand the dynasty of the Watson family and more importantly his children, Elkiria, Kennedy, and Elkino Watson Jr. BelieveInMe53 will now fill the void of his departure simultaneously celebrating and valuing his life while unifying the city. Joining forces with the community and all who partakes within this movement will show his children that they will not have to face the world alone.
