Belgrove Senior Boys Technology

We are now fundraising for enhanced technology for our children’s education and development. Existing Interactive Whiteboards (IWBs) are now coming to the end of their expected lifespan. We have chosen next generation IWBs which will meet the needs of our boys over the coming years.  They are more durable, up-to-date, have improved specifications over the existing ones in terms of size, sound-and-vision definition, and ease of use – for both pupil and teachers.As well as classrooms IWBs, we have identified a need for iPads for use in the learning support rooms.  These allow boys who require additional support to avail of high-quality individualised learning programs.  The iPads provide them with stimulating, focused and engaging learning materials that is difficult to match using more traditional methods.

The entire cost must be borne by the school from day-to-day running finances or fundraising.

The projected cost for the twelve classroom IWBs and five learning support iPads is c €50,000 – €55,000.

Any donations are greatly appreciated.  This is for the benefit of the current cohort of pupils and for many classes to come in the future years.
