Help Bee Get To Yale!

On my 2016 vision board, I made sure that my goal of growing as a writer was big and bold, front and centre. After blogging for 5 years and freelance writing for 4, I knew that this year had to yield a breakthrough in this arena - I just didn't know where it would come from.
Luckily for me, a huge breakthrough came in the form of an acceptance email from Thread At Yale - an intensive 4-day program aimed at training storytellers in various forms of media. This June I'll be honing my skills at Yale with other amazing storytellers and incredible mentors, and it's exactly what I need to fulfill my goal of growth.
As a mom with a mortgage who has made sacrifices this year to help others achieve their goals, I don't have the $1995USD (approx. $2500CAD) for tuition/room/board costs - and with the sorrowful state of the Canadian dollar, trying to gather the necessary funds for an American program is that much more difficult. Any donated funds will be put towards my travel and tuition to confirm my spot at Yale this summer, due by May 20th.
I almost didn't apply for the program - the night I started my application, my almost 2-year-old daughter hopped in my lap and begged for my attention. My first thought was to put away the silly thoughts of Yale and focus on my priority - then I remembered that going for my dreams was a lesson I wanted to teach her, and my own fulfillment is nothing but a benefit to her. So, cheers to chasing dreams, to Yale, and to you for every bit of help and well-wishes you send my way!
