All Saints Church in Hanley has gone through a huge restoration and has been open for only 3 weeks and what a 3 weeks its been!!
We’ve noticed that our congregation is 40% children and they love spending time in the church reading and talking and taking part in the family services; but there’s a but...........
Stoke on Trent is a deprived area and statistics show that the overall health of people living in Stoke on Trent is worse than the England average. Stoke on Trent is one of the 20% of most deprived districts in England and 26% of children live in low income families (Public Health England, 2016).
Our new Lady Chapel offers a fully heated space to offer bedtime stories for children and families as this space is warmer than the space in some of our local children’s own homes. And every child deserves a bedtime story.
WE NEED YOUR HELP
we have no books and we can not get funding quick enough to sort books in time for our first bedtime on the 4th may.
Any donation would be greatly appreciated however large or small!
