eTechTV From NYC COVID-19 Recovery Fund

INTRODUCTION

I'm Rich Garboski , Founder and Owner of  eTechTV  here in New York City, and I'm also the founder of eTechMall LLC .  I've been in New York City for 20 years having transplanted here just a few weeks before 9/11.  I rebuilt after that terrible tragedy and for the next 20 years would go on to re build a technology consulting firm, eTechHelp  a TV Show &  a video production company,  and online marketplace eTechMall .  We face a major challenge recovering from COVID-19 and are reaching out to the planet for help. 

New York City has been pretty much shut down since mid-March.  All my current projects which includes video productions,  technology consulting,  and product sales that were in play for both eTechTV and eTechMall LLC have been cancelled, delayed or waiting until the city officially gets back in business.  TV production crews have been unavailable and shut in at home and film production has come to a halt.  The  TV and Film industries, one of the largest sectors of the New York City economy has been devastated  by COVID-19.   

As of the date of this campaign,  NYC will not be back fully open for business at minimum before July.  Like many other media businesses here in New York City,  the loss of income and access to personnel has been devastating.  With much of the financial stimulus allocated to large companies with over 100 employees,  current programs have failed to trickle down to small businesses like eTechTV and eTechMall LLC.

ABOUT ME

I, Rich Garboski,  have been self employed since 1988 after working in technology in the retail and the corporate sector for 10 years.  I started my 40+ year career in technology in 1975 as a "Ham" radio operator, building and running an FCC licensed amateur radio station. I then pursued an education specializing in industrial electronics and electrical engineering.

I have spent the last 40 years as a technology consultant working in a wide array of industries.  I have been  involved with all aspects of technology for business including PC's, networking, telephony, the Internet, network security, and the cloud.

I also was the Executive Producer and host of Technology Talk shows for 10 plus years including 5 years on live cable television and 5 years on online television.  The show won several viewer choice awards which included; "Outstanding Educational and Instructional Series", "Outstanding Editing" "Best Technical Effects".   

OUR MISSION POST COVID19

With a large percentage of the population staying at home with their parents or guardians, more and more kids are being home schooled. Kids have a lot of time on their hands and the parents can make the most of this opportunity to get their children educated on technology, giving them the skills they need to compete in a world dominated with technology.  Educating children on technology was always part of the mission of eTech.TV long before COVID-19.

OUR STUDIO

eTech.TV  has a studio in New York City where it produces all of its video, audio, and print content for the eTechTV website,  mobile devices, OTT (Roku, Amazon, AppleTV and OperaTV)web, OTT  and can also produce 4K content.
