Becky's TEFL Certification Course in Thailand

Hi Everyone!
My name is Becky McGeehan. Last year, I graduated from The University of Texas at San Antonio with a B.A. in Psychology.
Unsure of what to do next, as my golfing amateur career came to an end in America, I decided the next natural step was to return 'home' and start my Masters Course in England. With the twists and turns life throws at you, it became seemingly obvious that my dream in life was to help and inspire others. So, after hours of research I came across the world of 'Teaching English as a Foreign Language'. This immediately sparked a sense of joy and excitement and I would love for nothing more than to fulfill my dream of teaching all over the world to those that need it the most. I would love to make a lasting impact on young and old people's lives through giving them the tools to speak another language. In this ever-changing world, I believe it is our responsibility as humans to help each other evolve and grow and give back when we can. Which is exactly what I want to do. I would love to inspire others through the English language, especially, since I have been so blessed to learn it myself. I have always known that I want to be a great mentor for others, and this is the path that truly resonates with my heart.
I decided to take matters into my own hands and take the leap of faith and sign onto the TEFL Heaven Thailand Internship programme as this was the best way for me to make my dream become reality. The programme consists of a 3-week full-time intense training course in Koh Chang, Thailand. After this I will be a certified TEFL Teacher and able to teach anywhere in the world. Below I will break down as best as I can what I will need the money for. I am being as transparent as I can and I would truly appreciate any donation possible!
Breakdown of Dates:
- Flight to Bangkok,Thailand: 26th September 2019
- Training Start Date: 3rd October 2019
- Training End Date: 1st week of November 2019
- Teaching Start Date: Straight after training is completed. So, beginning of November 2019, depending on the School.
Course Funds Breakdown:
Course Deposit = £500
Remaining Balance for the Course = £1040
Flight to Bangkok = £535.04
I have tried my best to save as much money as I can whilst doing my masters and working full-time, but there is only so far I can go. I hope one-day, when I am in the position, to give back to those that need it too. From the bottom of my heart it would mean the world to me if I could receive some help in anyway possible and achieve my dream of becoming a teacher across the globe. I hope to pave the way for the next generation to come and be the shining light that we all are and need. No donation is too small and I am beyond thankful for any help.
