Becky and Kiel Mahaffy live in South Lyon, MI with their 5 yr old son Liam. They are active members in their home and church communities. Becky, Kiel and Liam enjoy spending time outdoors, camping, traveling, kayaking and taking in all of life’s joys. Kiel is my (Michele Brinkert) younger brother.
The past two years have been very difficult for their immediate and extended families. Following the loss of their infant daughter in 2016, Becky was diagnosed with breast cancer in early 2017. It was soon determined that Becky in fact had stage 4 breast cancer with metastasis to the liver.
Through much prayer and careful consideration, Becky and Kiel have felt led by God to fight the cancer naturally with a holistic approach allowing God to heal her through His creation.
Their medical journey has led them to the Hoxsey Biomedical
Clinic. This natural based clinic provides treatment through a specific diet and supplemental program. It requires cross-country travel for treatment and medical supplies. Additionally, Becky has been unable to work while fighting this cancer.
Our family has decided to choose joy through this trial and to trust God. Please give as you feel so moved to help alleviate medical, nutritional, supplemental, lodging and airfare costs.
