Becher's Trip To Gainesville

This young man is Becher Sherman. He is a kind and cheerful 9 year old who, this past October, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. His condition is rare due to the PH Chromosome and the treatments will be long and vigorous. The news of his illness (ALL+PH) is both shocking and heart wrenching. 

We are the Smiths. We have been friends with Becher's parents, Ilana and Micheal, for close to ten years. We have watched Becher grow up alongside our own 9 year old son Owen. Both  boys love football... In Becher's case, he loves Gator's football! Michael went to the University of Florida and has passed his love for the team on to his family. We want to organize a trip to take the Sherman family to the University of Florida so Becher can watch his favorite team play in person! Currently, this is trip is scheduled for the 11/9/2019  Vanderbilt game.

Becher's treatment is constantly evolving as the doctors work to adjust the chemotherapy to fight this rare cancer. The next year will have its ups and downs. The University of Florida has graciously offered to be flexible with the scheduling of the Sherman family visit. This allows the family to focus on Becher's healing, and to look forward to celebrating his remission in Florida. Go Gators! 

Now we need you! Any funds raised will go towards all transportation and travel costs for the Sherman family.  Any additional funds raised will go toward a Children's Cancer Research Foundation.

Our family sends our deepest thanks to all who donate to this effort. Having something to look forward to can be powerful in so many ways! We know of no family more deserving of this support than the Sherman family. They are our closest of friends.
