My name is Becca Molaro and next year I will be a sophomore in high school. In the Spring of 2017, I will attend a very small, semester-away school in Brevard, the Outdoor Academy (OA). http://www.enf.org/outdoor-academy/
At OA, I will be gaining school credits as well as spending most of my days there camping, hiking, canoeing, climbing, and exploring the great outdoors that I am so honored call home. I have been *dreaming* about going here for years and am thrilled to have the opportunity to attend, I have already been accepted and been awarded a nice scholarship package.
The money that you donate (every little bit counts !!) will go towards the remaining tuition as well as purchasing required gear. There is a lengthy list of costs which I simply don't have the money to pay for and so I turn to you, my community, my friends, my people. I ask you from the bottom of my heart to give what you can so that I can make this dream of mine come true. I will be forever indebted and grateful to you.
I feel that this experience will be so valuable and meaningful to me because I will have a whole four months to become deeply rooted in this Earth and meet myself in a new environment. I will be able to build my own tight-knit community that I can hopefully stay connected to for the rest of my life. I can further my ability to take responsibility for my education and my life. Thank you so so much for supporting me on this next adventure I am delighted to enbark on.
