Beating the diabetes- Fund my CGM

I am a type 1 diabetic who has struggled with the disease since 2001. It is a daily, hourly, minute by minute struggle to stay alive and healthy. In the recent years technology has  helped overall in the world of diabetes, with innovation and inventions that make it easier for diabetics like myself conquer it and prevail.
Unfortunately, it is not always easy to get access to the new tools and electronic equipment that I am talking about. In my 18th year with diabetes, I have suffered several of the side effects, long and short term.
There is a device that will help me minimize these effects and it is called a CGM, or Continuous Glucose Monitor. 
What is it?? Everyday, I poke my finger and take blood, sometimes several times a day, but because of med insurance and being permanently on government disability, sometimes I cannot afford the test strips to test properly. I have also been switched to a generic insulin that doesn't work very well in controlling my diabetes throughout the day. Anyhow, so I have figured out this life saving device,  that allows me to scan a sensor located on my body, and without poking myself with a needle, I can check what my blood sugar is and where it has been or where it is heading, avoiding the killer harsh highs and lows which make diabetes such a deadly, and exhausting  disease.
Unfortunately, although I am on Medicare, I have been denied over and over again for it throughout the last 5-6 years. I decided after talking with many of my family and friends to start a crowd-funder to support me in my first 6 months with this device which costs $100 to purchase and then the disposable parts cost around $150 per month. I am raising $1000 to buy the CGM machine and 6 months worth of the sensors (Approx $45-50 each lasting 10 days each) that make it work.
