Bears to Riley

BAMFAM, a baseball and softball organization in southern Indianapolis, would like to raise money to buy teddy bears for kids this holiday season.  This is an opportunity for us as coaches, players, and families to come together outside of baseball and softball to give back to people.  This is the second year that we have run this campaign.  The overwhelming support our boys and girls gave last year was tremendous.   Seeing our players building bears for other children was heartwarming to see.  Building young men and women of character is one of our goals and events like these help us achieve that goal.  Once money is raised, players and families of the BAMFAM organization will be invited to meet at the Build-a-Bear Workshop at the Greenwood Park Mall.  Players will all get an opportunity to build their own special bear for another child.

Our organization has grown to 26 teams this year!  Way up from last year.  We were able to build and purchase over 100 bears last year.  Hoping for more this year!  All money that is raised will be used to buy teddy bears for children at Riley Children's Hospital.  Coaches Adam Gouker and Jake Banwart will drop all bears off on Christmas Eve.  Just in time to bring some smiles to the kids and families at Riley.
