Bear Proof Trashcan Latches

Next weekend, Florida Bear Warriors are teaming with FWC Biologist for our first ever volunteer Bear Proof Trashcan Workshop.
Volunteers will go to the Dora Pines neighborhood to retro-fit latches onto residents' trashcans.
Currently, Dora Pines has made the most 'nuisance calls' to the FWC and is asking that visiting bears be trapped and relocated or killed. To avoid this unnecessary action, we are helping residents to eliminate the bear attractants in their neighborhood---and we all know that the #1 bear attractant is unsecured trash.
The residents of Dora Pines are elderly, financially challenged and fearful of the bears that have been visiting their neighborhood.
Please help us to keep our bears safe by supporting our volunteer program and donating money to purchase 300 retro-fit trashcan latches. The latches are $7 each.
If you're unable to donate money, please consider donating 3 hours of your time to our volunteer trash can workshops.
