You Can Help Create a Brighter Future for the Youth of the Fox Valley
This campaign is dedicated to raising more funds to be donated to Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Fox Valley Region on behalf of the BConnected team.
Did you know it costs $1,500 for one child to get matched?
And with over 130 kids on the waitlist in the Fox Valley, the need is great.
But this means that the money raised through this event will specifically go towards getting those kids off the waitlist, and providing the opportunity for them to have a brighter future!
Creative Events That Make a Difference
As part of the Bay Area Creative Club, we love coming together to make a difference in our community and for a brighter future. BConnecte is partnering with other local creatives to raise funds through a Doubles Ping Pong Tournament. This GoFundMe campaign will support the efforts of the Ping Pong Fundraiser.
How BACC Raises Funding For Donations
With every Bay Area Creative Club event, all profits from tickets, team fundraising, and individual donations from the Ping Pong Tournament will be donated directly to Big Brothers Big Sisters.
Help Us Meet Our Goal
Each team is encouraged to raise more funding through efforts beyond the ticket sales. The BConnected team is hoping to raise $1050 through GoFundMe to create a stronger impact on young people in our community.
Through this campaign, you too can help the youth in our community have a brighter future.
How Your Donation Helps Big Brothers Big Sisters Makes a Difference
They provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported one-to-one relationships that change their lives for the better, forever. Right here in the Fox Valley.
Research to Help You Believe in Their Programs
Kids that go through the program are:
- 46% less likely to begin using illegal drugs
- 27% less likely to begin using alcohol
- 52% less likely to skip school
- 37% less likely to skip class
- 33% less likely to hit someone
"But what mattered to the children were not the activities. It was the fact that they had a caring adult in their lives. Because they had someone to confide in and to look up to, they were, in turn, doing better in school and at home. And at a time in their lives when even small choices can change the course of their future, the Littles were also avoiding violence and substance abuse."
