16th Iu-Mien Student Conference

Hello Friends, Family, and Supporters!
It is that time of year again to plan the annual Iu-Mien Student Conference (IMSC)! This special project was founded by Iu-Mien Community leaders and Iu-Mien Community Services (formerly United Iu-Mien Community, Inc.) who developed a passion to
(1) empower youth to pursue higher education and/or explore career opportunities,
(2) educate youth on the importance of preserving ethnic culture, and
(3) inspire youth to become community leaders.
The conference is completely organized by volunteers, a majority which are former participants. The planning committee contributes their blood, sweat, and tears each year to plan an exciting and informative conference for our Iu-Mien youth.
Want to help but can't make the meetings? We are in need of monetary and in-kind donations to cover the cost of the conference. Any amount you can donate, whether it is $1 or $100, goes directly towards the conference, including the IMSC Student Achievement Scholarships.

This year’s conference will be held on October 28th, 2014 at the UC Davis Conference and Alumni Center. Contact us if you would like to be part of the planning committee.
