Dunni Bello Memorial Fund

Donation protected
It is with a heavy heart that we report the passing of Dunni Bello, Kemi's sister.

Dunni passed away the night of Friday, October 2nd.
We said our final goodbyes today, Sunday, October 4th.

It is a very difficult time for Kemi and her mom right now-- the heavy costs of funeral and burial services have been overwhelming.

Kemi has been flying in and out of Houston almost on a bi-weekly basis for the past months-- this too has been very difficult for her.

As many of you know, Kemi has worked for many years in different DREAM/immigrant rights campaigns. For those of us that are fortunate enough to be part of Kemi's life-- we know the light that she represent for us. Dunni was a huge part of Kemi's light. Dunni was Kemi's younger sister and had been battling health struggles for the past few years.

Any type of contribution that you are able to give, will go directly to Kemi and her mom- to cover pending funeral costs. We do not really prepare for moments like these, and Dunni's sudden departure was that, sudden and tragic. There is a process to the services that Dunni and her family had to go through, which made this process costly.

Kemi is going to be with her mom in Houston for a while. If you would rather send a thought/energy/different contribution her way, I will be posting a PO Box later this week.
