Rich's Road to Recovery

Our amazing Richard has recently been in a serious accident overseas. He was being his regular fun-loving adventurous self when he fell from a very high height and landed hard. He has a severe head injury and a broken back.
He was on life support and put in a medically induced coma when they had to perform emergency back surgery. After a few days he was taken out of the coma to assess possible brain damage and paralysis.
As he came to he was able to answer yes/no questions and he can move his limbs-- we are incredibly relieved! He did not initially recognize some familiar faces but by the end of the first day he knew Mom and Dad.
It is going to be a long, hard road to recovery but we are hopeful he will walk again and be back to his charming, tenacious and beautiful self.

We need your help!
Richard will not be able to return to work for his entire recovery as his job is physically and mentally demanding.
Despite having travellers insurance which covered the initial medical expenses Richard will still need medical home care and physical rehabilitation. We as a family will also have to relocate him to a home that will accomadate his physical limitations for the many months to come. He will also need funds for basic living expenses such as rent, food, transportation, etc. We anticipate there will also be unforseen expenses during this process.

Our goal with these funds is to help alleviate the extreme financial burden on Richard, our parents, our family and his loving friends. Our dad, Brian Kroeker, will be in charge of collecting and distributing funds.

We love Richard, deeply. He is the kind of guy who would not only offer a stranger the shirt off his back, he will take the time to truly get to know you and what drives your passion.

When he meets you he will give you a high five, a hug, buy you a shot and then buy all your friends a shot too. His passion is to bring people together for "nothin' but damn good times!"
