My Study Abroad In Italy

Hi everyone! My name is Morgan Allen and I am a 4th year student majoring in Interior Architecture and Product Design at Kansas State University in Manhattan, KS. I have been given an amazing opportunity to go to Orvieto, Italy this summer to study abroad for one month! I am hoping to take advantage of the opportunity of being in Europe by staying there for (hopefully) 2 more weeks after my schooling is over to go and see other countries, as well as to visit my families German exchange student, from when I was in high school, who lives in Berlin. While in Italy I will be diving into their culture by taking an Italian Food and Wine class where I will be participating in hands on workshops to make authentic pasta and other cultural foods, and learn about the process of making wine. I will also be taking a class called Italy and the Architectural Imagination where we will discuss and experience architectural works of Renaissance and Baroque masters.  Although I have been looking forward to this experience for a long time, I have been struggling with figuring out how to pay for it all. I am working a part time job as well as doing a full-time paid internship at an architecture firm this spring. As you all know, studying abroad is very expensive so I am still going to struggle to meet my goal. I would love any extra help I can get so that I can fully experience Italy while I am there.
