Batwynn's Computer Fund

Um, if you're here, than you probably already know who I am. But just in case you don't:

Hi, I'm Bromwyn (AKA: Batwynn) I'm 25, and supposed to be happily graduated from college by now, with a fancy degree in graphic design and animation. Unfortunately, that never happened, due to a long term illness that kind of ruined my life a little bit. Because of this, i've been stuck at home for four years now, with no opportunities to work in a 'proper' job due to my health. In the past few years, i've become a large part of the online community (But, come on, we all know it's Tumblr.) Somewhere along the way, I began creating art, not just for fun, but also as a source of income.  Between commissions, comics, and merchandise, i've got a lot going on at once.



Which is why I'm here. Because a little while back, my beautiful, 2011, 27" screen iMac did a horrible thing, and sort of died on me. The result was the Apple store wiping my hard drive—without my permission—of 8 years of photos, music, art, and writing. That, and they never did find out why it did that in the first place. [Forever, forever going to hold a grudge over that.]

So, since then, i've been working on the same half-patched up computer, past all the glitches and grumpiness it gives me... but it's starting to become a real problem. Half of the programs I work with are glitchy, regardless of how much memory I have. I need those programs, not only to continue working on my art for a living, but also to continue things like livestreams with my followers/Patreons, or being able to create larger files for my commissioners without it crashing. Things are starting to quickly come to a point where I can no longer use certain programs at all anymore, and, although some of them may seem less important, [like Joinme ] others have become problematic enough that i’m starting to really worry.


This fund is intended for the purchase of a replacement for my current computer, in hopes of continuing my work and having the pleasure of interacting with the people i’ve grown close to because of the community, stories, and art that brought us together. As all my drawing programs are MAC only, I will need to continue to work on an Apple computer, so I intend to purchase one similar to the one I already own. [They’re also very good for the artists. Except no SAI, which is just sad.]



I honestly can’t tell you how much it would mean to me to have your support. And the people who have already supported me so much, who helped me, who pestered me into doing things instead of sitting on my butt pouting, I can’t thank you enough. I’m here because of you, and I want to continue to be here until you all get sick of me and vote me off the island or something.
