Bast's Garden New Renn Faire Booth

We are Stephanie and Sandra the creative and crazy minds behind Bast's Garden Menagerie! We are full time artist and are lucky enough to make our living bringing our whimsical creations and artwork to life. We sell at Renissance Festivals and Sci-Fi conventions including Dragoncon , Bristol Renaissance Faire , and The Georgia Renaissance Festival.
Many Renaissance festivals have a policy that you can only tent for two years then you must buy or build a booth. This is a long term commitment. We have done the Ga Ren Faire for two years and did not wish to risk not being invited back so decided to build. We were offered a chance to make our booth in a great spot in the middle of the faire. We contracted with a wonderful builder well know for his whimsical buildings and he has agreed to come out of partial retirement to create one for us. (See above amazing picture!)The cost for this will be $16,000 without doors, power or paint. This will all come later.
We have paid the initial $8000 down payment and he has started work... and then as they say, life happened. (All the lemons we got were rotten. No lemonaid for us. Sad kitties!) Long story short we are now homeless with most of our stuff in storage. We have many wonderful friends who allow us to "couch surf/ Mark Twain it" so we can put any income earned into our next booth payment. We made our agreement with our builder in good faith, and he deserves to be paid his next payment in a good and timely manner. Winter is our slow season and that is why we are asking for help. $4000 is due at the end of January, with the remainder due after GA Ren Faire finishes. All funds will go to paying our builder.
Your support will mean that we will be able to keep making our own weird flavor of magic (and to keep our creatures out of the rain. Soggy dragons are sad!) Art is our life. Neither of us could see living any other way. I can not express how grateful we are for the amazing people who touch our lives and let us touch theirs! (No cooties, promise!) Thank you for taking the time to consider our campaign!!
