Barunga School is a remote indigenous, community located in Central Arnhem Land. At Barunga we value exposing our students to as many different opportunities that arise outside of community. A huge focus is on exploring new enviroments and participating positively in sporting activities as well as the improvement of their natural sporting abilities.
Students have been attending fortnightly sporting competitions in Katherine, sporting trials and have been selected in participating in regional teams in Darwin or Alice Springs.
Each student that is selected to particiate in the regional championship needs to pay at least $350-780. As a school community we lack the funding to ensure they can attend.
We are seeking any assistance possible to make our students sporting opportunities and dreams come to fruition.
