Feral Cat Fund - Barrington TNR

$830 of $2,000 goal

Michelle Rauh  BARRINGTON, NJ
Barrington TNR cares for an estimated 75+ feral cats in the local area and was established in fall 2012. Our goal is to reduce feral cat population and improve their quality of life. Our volunteers build and maintain shelters, feed, clean up their colonies, provide medical care and rehabilitate kittens. These ferals, are not able to adjust to a life indoors and without our help they would be euthanized at a shelter or have a lower life expectancy and quality of life. TNR is a life saving process that treats feral cats humanly and ethically with compassion while reducing population.

Our mission at Barrington TNR is primarily sponsored through donations. We need donations for food to feed the colonies, medical care beyond spaying to improve the lives of feral cats, and additional medical care or illness for cats and kittens for adoption. These extra expenses are often beyond our budget. Only with your help are we able to provide these services to improve their quality of life and rehabilitate adoptable cats or kittens to place into loving homes.

If you do not feel comfortable donating on this site, you can make a direct donation to our vet under the Barrington TNR Account

Some of you may know I tried using You Caring recently because of lower fees but we are experiencing technical difficulties and are donations are down on it!

This is our general online fund for people to donate to the colonies and fosters online through our website since we don't have a paypal set up for donations that way.

We thank everyone for their donations, as we do have several medically needy cats right now. My foster SJ has asthma and needs an inhaler that the rescue cannot afford right now among other kittens with severe URIs. Kitten season has been high volume this year and also higher intake of abandoned cats in Barrington.

KITTEN UPDATES
The babies of the cheese litter have a cold. Three of the babies had to stay overnight at Mount Laurel Animal Hospital for fluids Monday night. Poor Muenster had a fever of 106! Everyone is home now and very doing well. They are getting their meds and are in good spirits. It's still going to be some time now before they can go to homes.

Current funds raised will be going to Mount Laurel Animal Hospital to helo cover our climbing costs of medical care. The three cheese are costing about 1k for their care but it was a necessity to help them get through their illness. So please continue to share and thank you for your support!

Good news! Nacho is back to his old self after his fluids and taking it easy. He's yelling at me and being crazy. He's some cute kitten pictures for everyone to enjoy!

I am also posting our last bill from Mount Laurel Animal hospital, but it does not include Nacho's visit on this invoice. I want everyone to see that this money goes directly towards the medical care and food for the feral cats and foster kittens in the rescue's care.

We are still accepting applications for the "Cheese Litter" please visit online at http://www.barringtontnr.com/adoptable-cats.html

Emergencies happen, which is why we need to fundraise year around. Just this morning little Nacho had to get emergency fluids at Mount Laurel Animal Hospital. He is doing well but these sort of things happen. Which is why we so greatly appreciate everyone's donations and support for our mission.

Little Nacho says thank you for supporting us and please share to help little babies like him.
