Help us help ourselves

My name is Julie Baron.
I am a photographer and an artist, a crafter, a maker.
In 2013 I suffered what my doctor called a “dissociative event”
This was brought on after years of undiagnosed depression combined with several deaths in the family, and an extremely stressful situation at my Job. The resulting breakdown left me with PTSD, anxiety disorder, and feeling suicidal.
I was put on disability, but that ran out over a year ago and since then I have been unable to get a job.
My husband owns a little Ukulele shop, where he sells his hand made ukuleles, as well as Tiki and Hawaiian themed art, and gifts. It is doing OK, but it is not quite making ends meet for a family of three in todays economy.
But I have a plan to get out of this, and help heal myself at the same time.
So far the most therapeutic activity has been making art.
You can see small sample of the things we make on our etsy site: http://www.etsy.com/shop/tikiali
And you can see our ukulele shop here:

I want to open a small gift shop to sell the other non Tiki / ukulele art and gifts we make.
We have a great location lined up, literally right next to our Ukulele store. We get a fair amount of foot traffic, and many people looking for gift items. We think the Ukulele store is a good draw, but think we could do better by expanding in to more  of the items we make  that are not neccesarly Tiki or Ukulele theme. To do this, we need funds. I am hesitant to go down the credit card road again, as it always seems to go nowhere but debt, and with interest rates for me at over 29%, I think it would be foolish. We have resources to “get in the door” but, need a bit more for supplies, paint, fixtures, and a few things we can’t make our selves, as well as hopefully being able to pay some of our unemployed artist friends to help.
Please help me to heal myself, help us keep our goal of self-sufficiency, and the dream to make a living by providing neat hand made art, crafts, and interesting gifts. Our Grand Opening date is currently Dec. 10th, 2016
This gives us a little over a month, but we opened the Ukulele store in 11 days, and Nov. 25th will be the sixth anniversary for that!
Thank you so much in advance for your generosity!
It is hard and humbling to ask for help.
