Dear Friends and Family,
On behalf of the Barnstable Wrestling Boosters, we’re reaching out to ask for your help. In order to foster a competitive wrestling program, and to train the team effectively, the coaches have requested some new equipment. Unfortunately, the school isn't able to provide financial support for additional equipment or uniforms. Athletic fees can only stretch so far and are used to pay for coaches, buses, referees, and building costs. That’s why we’ve established this Go Fund Me campaign to raise money for some equipment.
We have 30 wrestlers this year. If you’ve never seen the wrestling room, you’d be amazed by how much gets done in such little space. The coaches want to further optimize that space by purchasing training tools to help our wrestlers develop their strength and technique. Our goal is to raise $2,500, which would fund the following items:
1. Three pieces of equipment that can double as squat racks and pull up bars.
2. A Smart TV with wifi capability so the coaches and wrestlers can review each wrestler’s most recent matches and can access online training videos in the wrestling room.
3. Matching uniforms and warm-ups for all wrestlers. As many of you know, several of the students did not receive warm-ups and some of the wrestlers are wearing mismatched, older singlets. We’d like to purchase enough gear so the team looks as one.
