We have decided to start a barn cat rescue to help save animals in high kill shelters from being euthanized. We have fully funded the start up and have saved 5 cats so far. The rescue has called us to help save a few more cats this weekend. At $80 per cat plus enclosures, food, litter, etc is really adding up. We have a plan to find other barns and help supply them with enclosures and supplies, and a long term goal to fix the system so that shelters do not kill these animals. By next year we hope to have a way to fully fund this ourselves, but in the meantime any donations will help! All funds will go directly to saving as many cats as we can from local high kill shelters. If you are interested in helping or have a barn that needs some cats to help with the rodents, let us know!
