This is a tragic story involving a mother’s love for her Autistic son. Barbara was engaged to my friend and co-worker at Anaheim Fire & Rescue, Andy Ingram. On behalf of Barbra's family, I want to help in some small way. Barbara youngest son suffered from autism. Through her unconditional love and commitment, she helped her son go from non-verbal to verbal status. She was so successful that the professionals suggested she get a formal education in Spectrum Disorders. So what did this single mother do? She went back to school, and completed her degree from UCLA. Barbra was scheduled to walk in her graduation ceremony this June. Her whole goal was to help her son and the autistic community by giving back and serving the needs of others. Unfortunately her life was tragically cut short, allegedly by the son she dedicated her life to love, nurture, and sacrifice for. We are trying to raise money for Barbra’s kids, Kevin, Michael, Brittney, and Ike. If you can help Barbra's family, even if it's in the smallest amount, please do so.
