Barbara's Bills

My hard working mother-in-law Barbara Carter came home today to no electricity in her home. She did not receive a shutoff notice and after contacting the electric company she was devastated to realize that there is no way to pay her past due amount plus a very high deposit. Her bill is around $500 and the electric company wants a $500 deposit to turn her electricity back on. She has lived at the same address for six years and has never had to pay a deposit.  It's extremely hot here in Missouri and there is just no way to survive without electricity in this heat and especially with her health issues. Even after suffering a heart attack a few years ago and with her heart not functioning efficiently Barbara has worked hard and maintained a full time job with the same company for over 10 years. Barbara would never just ask for a hand out but she could really use a hand up. Since her heart attack she has had numerous hospitalizations and health issues over the years but she continues to pay her bills without any type of outside help. Barbara has recently had expensive car issues and with all of her bills plus health insurance, medication costs and food things have just gotten out of her control.  If anyone could help with a hand up and help Barbara to get her electricity back on she would forever be thankful.   Barbara needs $1,000 to restore her electricity as soon as she can.
