Dear Friends and Family:
My dear sister Barbara is facing the biggest challenge of her life. Barb has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Her treatment will begin shortly.
A good friend of mine suggested I create a "GoFundMe" page for Barb. My initial goal was to raise a minimum of $5,000 for Barb for her to use to cover medical costs and other expenses during her time of treatment. Our amazing friends and family blew through that goal in less than 24-hours. I have now increased that number to $6,000. With this disease and the treatment that comes with it there are going to be days when Barb is not going to be able to go to work. This is the reason I started this fund. I want Barb to be able to focus solely on her treatment and not on whether or not she'll have enough money to pay her bills.
Anyone who knows Barb knows how kind and generous she is. I'm sure at one time or another in your life you have been on the receiving end of some of that kindness and generosity...I know I have. If you have a desire to help (and you have the means) please consider contributing to this fund to financially help Barb through this difficult time.
I'm putting a link to this page on both mine and Barb's Facebook pages. Please feel free to share this link with anyone that knows Barb who is not connected to her (or me) via Facebook.
