Single mum, Carly Parish and daughters Bethany and Bianca sat awaiting the results of hours of testing to deterime the high white blood cell count in Bianca.
Confirmation came through late in the afternoon that Bianca indeed was ill and the official diagnosis was LEUKAEMIA.
More than 3300 people are expected to be diagnosed with a form of leukaemia this year - equivalent to nine people every day. Leukaemia is a cancer that affects the blood and bone marrow where blood cells are made.
There are four main types of leukaemia:
Acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL)
Acute myeloid leukaemia (AML)
Chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL)
Chronic myeloid leukaemia (CML)
Bianca has been diagnoised with the most common form for her age and is expected to remain at the RCH for the next 8 months whilst she battles the disease.
Having spent countless days and weeks in hospital ourselves, we know its not easy - mentally, physically and financially.
Please help us support them through this difficult time X
Can't wait to see how much was raised at the fund raiser at the terminus hotel. Any idea when it will be put on.
Banks you are such a unique character. Love your guts! You got this girl you're a strong one.
So amazed at how much everyone has supported these ladies, but at the same time I'm not, they are amazing people and mean the world to many many people including me. Banx and Carly, we look forward to your return to Wycheproof soon and we hope that everyone's offers ensure that the next 8months are worry free of everything that is not important. Beth, I hope we made your birthday just a bit special as I know you weren't with the people you really wanted to be with, we did our best and I bags a piece of your cake
