We are raising funds to purchase straw bales to "winterize" Sacred Stone Camp - at Standing Rock.
My name is Michael "Ike" Levy; a retired Architect and Contractor, specializing in Solar and Energy Conscious Design, with 40 years experience.
Together with my partner, Carole Crews; Natural Building workshop facilitator, and author of Clay Culture - we are going onsite at Sacred Stone Camp, to supervise construction, and teach construction techniques.
Straw bales are needed for insulating tents and tipis, creating wind breaks and deflectors, building structures, amphitheaters, and seating.
We have already made arrangements for semi-truckloads of straw bales to be delivered to the Camp at a cost of approximately $3000/truck, or $5 per bale.
