Bags for Kimuka School girl's

This gofundme is raising money for Alice Carothers 10th grade personal project. My personal project is to make small personal bags for the female students at the Kimuka Primary school in Kenya. They are a primary education school in Kenya for many students, but have small amounts of money, and need support. Many of the girls at the school have to skip 1 week or more per month due to their periods, depriving them of education. Chadwick International school has had an amazing club where we support that school and provided those girls all reusable pads, but I noticed a problem. These girls now have reusable pads, but they lack the place to put these pads when they are changed, and cannot put it anywhere due to the fact that many of them do not have school bags. This can then create a big enough problem to keep them home from school, again depriving them of education. My project is to hand sew bags for all of these girls. The bags will be able to carry their used pads and clean ones. By giving them these I hope to boost their confidence when going to school whether they are on their period or not. All of them deserve education, and hopefully this will give them a chance to do so.
So what will you contribute through donating?
By donating you are helping me purchase fabric and all the necessary materials to sew these bags. I am so thankful for any donation and appreciate it beyond what you can imagine.
My goal is to get enough material to make around 60 bags. Know that by donating the money you are helping these female students education and confidence in school. I am hoping to make my goal money as soon as possible.
