Backpacks For The Homeless

My Name is DeAngelo Gerald, I am currently a Masters Level Social Work Intern and Assistant Football Coach at Metea Valley High School, and I am currently working on my masters in social work. I am looking to raise money to buy backpacks for the homeless! Last year we were able to get approximately 60 backpacks filled with items such as food, water, gloves, hats, etc., on top of that we also received a good amount of donated coats and jackets. This year the goal is to double it!! With that being said I am asking for your help in order to reach this goal. Once again the I will plan to personally handout these backpacks the day after Christmas to the homeless and less fortunate in the Chicagoland area. So if you have any backpacks, coats, old blankets, etc that you are not planning to use anymore please consider holding on to them and donating then once I begin to collect backpacks! P.S. The funds raised on GoFundMe will be withdrawn on December 16, 2016 in order to give me enough time for me to go out and purchase the items. I will try  my hardest to get you a picture of the items purchased with your donations as well as a photo of the receipt so that you may know how much you have helped out!
