BackPack Buddies

BackPack Buddies is a non-profit program that provides food for school age children during the school year. Currently we have 206 childrenthat we feed every week. It cost us an average of $4.25 per child each week. Which does at up quickly with 206 children to an average of $875.00 each week. We are currently in 8 different schools including Rock Hill Elementary and Middle and High School, Dawson-Bryant Elementary and Middle, Ironton Middle, Open Door and Lawrence County Cooperative Class.

Food is placed in the child's backpack on Friday to take home. The foods provided are ready to eat or are easily prepared. Listed below are some examples we are currently sending home. Make sure all items are individually wrapped.
Examples:
Individual Boxes of Cereal
Individual Packages of Oatmeal
Fruit Cups, Applesauce
Crackers Packaged of Any Variety
Ramen Noodles
Granola Bars
Fruit Snacks
Pudding Cups
Macaroni and Cheese
Easy Open Soup/Pastas
Juice Boxes
