Helping Baby Jacob's brother Payton
His mom and dad (my friends Christina and Jeff) are up against many challenges. They have another little one at home waiting to meet the baby. They are going to have all sorts of bills that will need to be covered. Medical bills, household bills, etc. Jacob will be considered as a "special needs" baby and will require things and care that most babies don't need. Mom and Dad had to leave work early (unpaid) so right now money is TIGHT!
As long as I've known Christina, she's been reaching out to help others. She founded WIN - Women in Need to assist other moms. She orchestrated a disaster relief trip to Oklahoma a couple of years ago taking much needed items and helping with clean up. She even wants to start making blankets for preemies to help other babies (on a separate note-know of anyone willing to donate a sewing machine?).
She has helped me in the past and I'm here to pay it forward. I'm starting this Gofundme for them to help Christina and Jeff with the bills. This will help ease some of the craziness going on in their lives. Even if you can only give a dollar, that would be so wonderful.
God calls us to help each other.
Proverbs 19:17 “Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will repay him for his deed.”
There was much confusion as to what was raised, and apparently, the updtes were not posting in order, so folks didn't know if they were contributing to Jacob or Payton.
The family really needs some support right now. Baby Payton is due to arrive AS PLANNED in just over 3 weeks. Mom's looking like she's going to make it full term after all is said and done. This is HUGE news, and nothing short of a miracle by itself.
Please follow Payton's fundraiser at:
And give if you can, share regardless. Thank you!
There was a LOT of money raised for Jacob's cause. And what you're seeing here is that momentum and what it produced.
Those funds went to keeping Jacob's medical bills at bay, and if you please look at the donations, you can see that since we began collecting for Payton, we've only raised a few hundred dollars.
Mom and dad don't need the volume of support that they did with Jake by any means. We are hoping to get them a few thousand dollars more to offset a little of what these ivig treatments have cost. That's all.
Please, as you're sharing this page, explain this to those you share with.
We just want to make sure everyone knows where the fundraising is at. If it continues to be confusing, we might need to start a different campaign.
I was just hoping to appeal to those of you that had continued to follow this family's story and their desire to have just one healthy baby.
Please continue to help. Thanks.
In good news, she had an ultrasound today, and Payton is looking good. He's measuring big still.
Mom's having a rough time physically. Please keep them both in your thoughts.
Also keep sharing and donate if you can. Financial stress isn't helping the situation, and they are in the final weeks of pregnancy. Please help!
