Baby Raegan Thomas

Wednesday afternoon, January 18th, Raegan suffered a seizure at home. She was taken by ambulance to Regional hospital where she had two more seizures within 5 hrs. After a CT of her brain showed a shadow in her left frontal lobe, we were care flighted to Children's Medical Center in Dallas and admitted into the pediatric ICU. An MRI revealed that Raegan had suffered a stroke which caused the subsequent seizures. She has since been put on heparin and anti seizure meds. There are dozens upon dozens of amazing doctors here treating her and so far her prognosis looks good. They are running every test possible to figure out why she had a stroke. We have so much support from staff, friends and family. We are truly blessed. Now comes the trouble. We have no idea how long we are going to be here and have no emergency fund set aside for travel expenses back and forth as well as the home bills that keep coming. I'm here at the hospital with our girl instead of working although I'm hoping to return soon provided that Raegans condition improves. Everything is still so uncertain but everyone is working diligently to get to the bottom of this. We ask for love and prayers for our beautiful baby girl and to share this page to spread support for her recovery and to help our family get by in the mean time.
