Baby Mia's Fight Against Spina Bifida

Paige and Luke Magee are expecting their baby Mia in September.  A few weeks ago they received the news that baby Mia has Spina Bifida, type Myelomeningocele, the most severe type.  In order for baby Mia to have a chance at a normal life, Paige has to have Fetal surgery at Cincinnati Children's Hospital.  Baby Mia's spine is outside of her body and they have to do surgery and repair it and put it back in her little body.  This surgery is very rare, everything has to be just right in order for them to perform the surgery and Paige and Luke have already been blessed for this to be able to happen.   For this to happen, Paige has to move to Cincinnati for the remainder of her pregnancy and stay in hotel rooms and live off of fast food and hospital food for 3 months at least.  When the baby comes, they will still need to be there for an uncertain amount of time in case of additional surgeries for Mia.  This is a young couple putting their life on hold to insure their baby has the best chance at an normal life.  Please give what you can, if only it is your prayers, they need as much of them as possible!  We thank you so much for whatever you can give and remember to keep them in your prayers!  Surgery is scheduled for Wednesday, May 22 at 9:00 am, they have already left for Cincinnati.   We will update as much as we can on this page, Thank you again.
