Mia Grace Maestas was born Sunday at 3:15 am weighing 3 pounds 6 ounces and measuring 16.25 inches. She arrived at 29 weeks. Colleen, not feeling well, trusted her instincts and went to the hospital. So lucky she did! Mia was in distress. An emergency C-section followed and Danny flew with Mia and the specialists on the helicopter to the prenatal center in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Danny says she is a feisty one with tons of dark hair, just like Aubrey. Colleen has been able to join them now. Her mom, Bev, flew in and is helping with the girls back home.
Right now the biggest concerns are centered on Mia and her health and growth. Mom and Dad will need to be in the NICU with her for some time to come. At least several weeks. Any help with the expenses associated with being away from home while caring for their newest daughter while trying to maintain their family is going to be the best way to help them through this great and unexpected adventure. Lodging, food, and travel are all mounting beyond the care costs that are looming.
If you're looking for a way to help and would like to join us in lifting that burden a little bit please do.
Life is big!
Thank you in advance, friends and family of Team Maestas!!!!!
