The George’s welcomed their sweet baby boy, Maddox James George, on Wednesday August 7th at HOAG OC weighing 6lbs 1oz + 19in long. He is absolutely PERFECT!
Shortly after delivery, Maddox needed to be transferred to CHOC for some lung and breathing issues. Amanda had a c-section & had to stay at HOAG for recovery while her baby was transferred to another hospital, which we can only imagine how hard that must’ve been. Fast forward to today, Tuesday August 13th, & the George’s were informed that little Maddox may be discharged due to his incredible progress! His strength is unmatched.
As Maddox was getting ready to be discharged, they noticed a heart murmur. After further testing, their beautiful boy has been diagnosed with a heart condition called an Interrupted Aortic Arch + Ventricular Septal Defect. He will be undergoing a serious open heart surgery in the next day or so. Your love, prayers, & support is greatly needed during this time.
I have set up this account for us to gather together in prayer for this amazing family. I cannot imagine the emotional and financial stress they must be under, and I would love for us to help lessen the load in any way we can. Every penny counts. Each day in the NICU is roughly $3,000 + Maddox’s open heart surgery will be around $200,000.
Your donation will go straight to the George family to help the medical bills for Amanda’s c-section + hospital stay, baby Maddox’s NICU stay + open heart surgery, and for Collin to take some time away from work to be with his wife + beautiful boy during this time.
