Baby Bear (Troy) Battling Di-George Syndrom

Donation protected
To family, friends and the community,
-Baby Bear or Troy Hicks/Poullot is only  7 months old and has been fighting DiGeorge Syndrome. This syndrome is known as 22q11.2 deletion syndrome, which is a syndrome caused by the deletion of small segment of chromosome 22. While the symptoms can vary, they often include congenital heart problems, specific facial features, frequent infections, developmental delay, learning problems and cleft palate.
-Baby Bear had low calcium levels and will already have developmental issues. As he gets older more problems may occur such as Grave's Disease and Schizophrenia.
-Baby Bear has undergone two heart surgeries already, his last one was on April 30th, 2019. When his second surgery was over his family received great news, there was the possibility of not needing anymore heart surgeries!
-BUT,  our Baby Bear had a stroke within 24 hours after his second surgery. This has affected his mobility in the left side, his vocal cords and his swallowing.  There is also a great chance it could have affected his personality, comprehension, problem solving and speech. So far Baby Bear has shown VERY LITTLE signs of any recovery thus far.
-They currently can't work with his left arm because it is so swollen from the art line they had in when they took his X-rays. He had a pacing wire placed in to control his heart beat, but it has currently been removed hoping it will continue to do it job on its own.
-After speaking with the Neurologist they said they are uncertain if Baby Bear will be capable of making a full recovery, or even a 50% chance.
-With knowing this the plan is to get second opinions on physical, occupation, and speech therapy's and definitely a psychologist as he grows. A stroke specialist is also going to be kept in mind to see what other helpful information they can give.

Baby Bear's family needs all the love, support and help they can get as they are missing out on a lot of work to be with their baby. If there is one thing you could do to help a family in need it would be to donate. Any little bit helps. We want to make this families situation a little less stressful as their main focus is being by Baby Bears side.
